I don't particularly like driving in the snow. I am, after all, a native Floridian.
Sometimes winter driving is unavoidable. I have to remember to adjust my speed to account for lower traction on snow or ice. I must accelerate slowly to gain traction and avoid skidding. A few years back I actually skidded into my neighbor's mailbox! Not fun!
I brake slowly for stop lights and stop signs. I turn with extra caution. I drive with extra patience in bad weather. The problem is not everyone takes their time to compensate for the snowy roads. Some people drive as if there isn't any snow. Why are people in such a hurry? Even in the snow? Ice is a bigger problem! Black ice is even worse than that.
Please drive thoughtfully and carefully!
