Just recently a couple of our carriers have opened up their doors to writing Renters Insurance to our policyholders.
Safeway Insurance has recently piloted a "stand alone" (don't need to have auto insurance) renters product with Anderson Insurance. This is great news and their rates are very competitive. They do not do credit scoring and they will write up to $100,000 in contents coverage.
Also, Founders Insurance Company is now offering Renters Insurance for $150.00 per year to their existing auto policyholders.
